The Absence of Evidence is an art/science collaboration commissioned by The University of Colorado School of Public Health for their public art exhibition titled Hear/Say.
The exhibition, now on tour throughout Colorado, aims to encourage public conversations and open-minded understanding around the impacts of high-concentration cannabis use. The exhibition as a whole explores the complicated terrain of cannabis use- both its potential benefits and harms, along with the political, industrial, and social undercurrents now linked to this plant.

My project, The Absence of Evidence, explores the relatively recent change in concentration levels (i.e. 3-30% THC in 2020 to 30-90% THC available today), the gaps in scientific research, and the neuron as the site of impact, communication, and knowledge production. It aims to honor scientific insights, while creating space for the stories and perspectives science cannot currently see.
