The Absence of Evidence is an art/science collaboration commissioned by The University of Colorado School of Public Health for their public art exhibition titled Hear/Say.

Now on tour throughout Colorado, the exhibition aims to foster public conversations and promote open-minded understanding of the impacts of high-concentration cannabis use. It explores the complex terrain of cannabis use—both its potential benefits and harms—while also addressing the political, industrial, and social forces surrounding the plant.

--

My project, The Absence of Evidence, explores the relatively recent change in THC concentration levels (i.e., from 3-30% THC in 2020 to 30-90% THC available today), the gaps in scientific research due to federal regulations, and the neuron as the site of impact, communication, and knowledge production. It aims to honor scientific insights while creating space for the stories and perspectives that science cannot currently see.
