Molybdenum, Uranium, Phosphorus + Silver (2021 - In Progress)

Started in 2021, this project annually analyzes a sample of my hair to measure the concentrations of heavy metals such as molybdenum and silver present in my body. Through a four-part series, the work traces the potential sources of these metals, reflecting on the relationship between our environment and our bodies, and the ways in which the two are inextricably connected.

Part science experiment.
Part speculation.
Mostly a reminder of our porosity.

*a few teasers...
the molybdenum is likely from mining up river
and the silver likely due to my time working in a photographic darkroom

More info coming soon.
