Dear Reader is a collection of accumulated fragments, stutters, and attempts to address an absent and temporally ambiguous audience. The audience represents both the multiple voices within myself as I grapple with the climate crisis as well as various persons I have been in conversation with, including friends, family members, theorists, and artists. The audience here is both individual and collective. The full letter (attempt #27), was written with specific friends and family members in mind, who may or may not know this specific date. Roughly 10 years ago, I encountered a similar set of figures that, along with the accumulated encounters that came before, served as a tipping point in my own understanding of the climate crisis. Thus this letter is also written to a temporally dislocated self.

This collection of letters was the introduction to my graduate thesis book and is ongoing.
